Grifone Primitivo Review

Price: $3.99 – can’t beat it! Especially for Old Vine Zin.

Type: Zinfandel! (My Fave!) Zinfandel (also known as Primitivo) is a variety of black-skinned wine grape.

First Impressions: Fruity right off the bat, just the right amount of punch and acidity. Not too strong tannin flavor, either! Just like the bottle says, it’s soft and deep with a pretty long finish! It’s not heavy, like a lot of Zins can be also, which is a plus! Once the bottle has been open for a while, it gets almost a sour cherry flavor!

Pairings: Sweet BBQ! I’m learning that Red Wine goes with A LOT of BBQ foods.

Alcohol: 13%

Rating: 3/5
