Type: 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon
First Impressions: This is definitely a full bodied red, without being too heavy on the palette! It’s just sweet enough, and just dry enough, without making you want too much of something else. Cabernet’s are not usually sweet- so make sure you know that before you buy! The notes actually stick in your mouth after you drink it, which you don’t find too much with wine at this price point! It’s fruity with blackberries and plum, almost raisins too. It’s a great party wine, when you need to bring a second bottle or you’re going to a dinner party with party goers who don’t LOVE a good red. It’s a very easy going Cab- perfect for light red wine lovers. It’s simple and easy to drink- what more could you ask for? Readers beware: two glasses of this might give you a little bit of a headache the next morning! (Not that I would know from experience.)
Food Pairing: Cheeses, Pasta, Pizza, and Chicken. Something without a ton of different flavors, this wine would be too much for that.
Alcohol Percentage: 13.8%
